Private Integration Tokens (PITs) Now Available for Sandbox & Trial Accounts

Modified on Wed, 4 Mar at 3:05 AM

We’ve enabled Private Integration Tokens (PITs) for Sandbox and Trial accounts, allowing developers and accounts to test their custom integrations end-to-end against the platform APIs before going live.
What This Means
Sandbox and Trial accounts can now:
  • Create and use Private Integration Tokens
  • Authenticate custom integrations safely
  • Test API workflows without using production accounts
  • Avoid manual support intervention
This removes the previous restriction that blocked PIT creation for these account types.
Built for Safe Testing
To ensure platform stability and prevent abuse, PIT usage in Sandbox and Trial accounts operates under conservative, leadership-approved API rate limits:
  • Burst Limit
    25 requests per 10 seconds
  • Daily Limit: 10,000 requests
These limits apply across all Private Integration Tokens in the account (limits do not multiply per token).
Automatic Upgrade Handling
When a Trial account upgrades to a paid plan:
  • API limits are automatically updated to standard production limits
  • No manual intervention is required
  • Entitlements update immediately
